Nonvolatile, nonhygroscopic, smell-less.High stability at normal temperature and can maintain original quality for several year.Freely soluble in water and liquid ammonia, strongly acidic in water solution.Slightly soluble in methanol, insoluble in ethanol and ether.Characteristics of double functional group of amidogen and sulphonic radical, may go on chemical reaction with many matters.Melting point 205, decomposing temperature 209.

Use : Metal parts cleaning, getting away oxidize surface.Slightly corrosive to metal, used to flush boiler, and sterilize bacterium in water.Bleach fibre, wood and paper.
Remove nitrite in tobacco.Raw material for paint, dye stuff and PH test paper.Used as fire resistance of cotton fibre.Used as solidifying agent of resin.Raw material for pesticide intermediate, ramification of sulfamic acid.
